In Haiti, education is highly valued but resources are scarce. In Port au Prince, NGO FOKAL, (Foundation for Knowledge & Liberty), led by former Haitian Prime Minister Michele Pierre Louis is providing resources including teacher training, building schools, cultural activities, community libraries and scholarships. FOKAL is also a partner of the WISE Haiti Task Force.
