After working with plaster, I have decided that I need to be better at the following: - Don't overlap the plaster cloth when planning on putting on 3 layers. It is easier to fill with more plaster than it is to sand down - Wet the plaster between each application. This keeps the plaster from instantly drying - Sand between each application. Sanding a little now, is better than a lot later - Apply plaster with a brush - When sanding, there will be plaster dust. I know I should not have to say this, but I wish I would have appreciated how fine plaster dust can be. The trains have a hard time running with this nearly invisible dust on everything. Next steps: - Track cleaner is on its way. I hope it works - UP FEF 838 has been ordered and I want to make it runs well - I already have Portram streetcar. I want to make sure it runs well too - I have lighted passenger cars coming, I want to see them run well.
