The Democratic Republic of Congo's elections were meant to take place today. But polls have been postponed to the end of December after a fire at the electoral commission’s warehouse. Electronic voting machines and ballot papers were destroyed in the blaze. There’s suspicion through, after president Joseph Kabila refused to leave office at the end of his second term in 2016.
