When Mærsk Gallant arrived at Lindø Industial Park, where Fayard was in charge of renovating the drilling rig, the undertaking generated 500 jobs in the community. According to the local tourist agency, the effects of Maersk Gallant’s yard stay on local businesses were conspicuous. One of the most visible impacts was derived from accommodating people working on the rig-upgrade.
