Aliza Green is one of the pioneer chefs who helped make Philadelphia a dining destination, she's an inductee of The Philadelphia Inquirer's Culinary Hall of Fame and a member of Les Dames d'Escoffier. Aliza will share her love of homemade soup, tips on making the most of local, seasonal produce in vegetable-focused cold soups for the summer like green gazpacho with garlic, grapes and almonds, and chilled melon, yogurt and ginger soup. Use the early summer harvest to make beautiful soups while you learn how to use your kitchen scraps to make homemade stocks and how to prepare and store soups, which freeze well & why.
