"Dear Pastor Bob: I have a friend that I realized is a bit of a bad influence. Don't get me wrong, she is a fantastic person. Strong in Christ, very kind, very friendly, etc. But, there is one problem. She's had a lot of suffering and that causes me to get a pessimistic view about a lot of things in life. I am certainly not going to say 'we can't be friends' because she needs a friend. I'm not sure how to handle the bad influence."
