Diggs URL Shortener Now Works Only for Digg & Digg Lays off 10% of Staff Since Kevin Rose took the helm at Digg, the service hasnt been introducing new features but killing old ones. First, Digg got rid of the DiggBar, and now a related feature has been (almost) shut down: the Digg URL shortener. Although Digg calls this move an update, the shortener no longer works for any URLs except for the URLs of Digg (Digg) stories. Its an expected move, as Diggs URL shortener was heavily criticized for hurting websites search rankings. Twitter releases their own official android app. Twitter for Android vs. Seesmic for Android.
