The Santiam is Flooding the Rest Area North of Albany

I spent Christmas night at this rest area, and several subsequent nights, trying to find a trap a lost Siamese. Sophie's owner put her on a leash and let her out of the car, even though she was unaccustomed to a leash. Sophie immediately slipped out of her collar and disappeared into the woods, now flooded with raging waters from the Santiam River. I never found Sophie, although I am still looking. I did trap an adult black female and a tiny starving kitten.
