Abhishekam to Sadashiva was offered at the end of the day in the form of Rudra Abhishekam. The Rudram was chanted, the Rudram contains two parts, the Namakam and Chamakam. These verses reverberated in the powerful space of the Vaidhya Sarovar. On the very auspicious day of Guru Peyarchi, which is the transit of Jupiter (which is Guru), from Kanya Rashi to Tula Rashi, to celebrate this different rituals are performed. Dakshinamurthy Homa was conducted, to invoke the blessings of Dakshinamurthy who is the primordial first incarnation of Sadashiva as AdiGuru, or primordial guru. Abhishekam was also offered to Lord Dakshinamurthy under the Banyan tree, celebrating the happening of Guru in our life. It was then followed by Deepam and a special Alankaram.
