The adventure continues for 64 teams this coming weekend, as the Emirates FA Cup returns for 32 third round ties up and down the country.

And Pompey will be one of those sides in action, as they make the trip to Suffolk to play Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

The Blues defeated non-league Macclesfield Town in round one, before edging out fellow Sky Bet League 2 side Accrington Stanley 1-0 at Fratton Park last month in the second round.

The clash marks The Tractor Boys' first game of this season's competition, as they enter at the third round stage along with 43 other Premier League and Championship teams.

The pair have history in the competition, most notably in 2008, when they met at the same stage of the competition, and Pompey won 1-0.

They would go on to win the FA Cup for the second time in their history that year.

And it was the same scoreline two years earlier in 2006, again at the third round stage, with The Blues again coming out on top.
