Former Obama Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who previously lied before Congress about spying on American citizens, shows that he knows nothing about separation of powers, checks and balances, and the U.S. Constitution (or is lying about them). The president is the head of the executive branch and can fire anyone he wants and the FBI is part of the executive branch of government. The firing of James Comey has nothing to do with the legislative branch or judicial branch of government. Nor does it diminish the powers of the other branches in any way.
