Men Steal Cigarettes From Speedway in Clark County

CLARK COUNTY -- A thief is behind bars and another still on the run after an early morning burglary at a Speedway in Clark County.Surveillance video from the Speedway on Urbana Road in Moorefield Township shows a pair of men breaking in just before 3 a.m. Tuesday morning. The pair used a brick to break into the front of the store and stole more than $3,000 worth of cigarettes. Sheriff Gene Kelly says the suspects had stolen plates on their getaway car.This in their hope would be if someone did run their plate, a law enforcement officer, the number would come back to a similar vehicle and not identify the relative whose car they were using in this burglary, Kelly said.A deputy stopped the car in Springfield and arrested the driver, James Maioll.The passenger got out and fled with some of the stolen merchandise. He has not been caught.
