B&M spider Tear Down and Fix. Each time I took this apart I found something that seemed to need fixing, some solder joints seemed to need redoing, I swapped the electrolytic capacitor, I swapped the piezo microphone. After each change it worked and then I would set up the camera and it would fail. In the end I changed the 2 AAA batteries for a small 1S LiPo and it worked fine with all the original components so it looks like the only problem was a lack of power from the AAA batteries. Maybe it just needed Alkaline batteries in top condition to run.

Update 2023
When I checked B&M online in 2021 this product was still available, but I have checked today 2023 and I cannot find it on their site.
