In this film, we discover how invasive weeds are impacting livelihoods in East Africa. Four species are particularly problematic: Chromolaena odorata (Devil weed), Parthenium hysterophorus (Famine weed), Prosopis juliflora (Mathenge) and Opuntia stricta (Australian pest pear -- a type of Prickly pear). CABI is an inter-governmental, not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to improve people's lives worldwide by providing information and applying scientific expertise to solve problems in agriculture and the environment.
