CINCINNATI (WKRC) - You may want to add a few foods to your summer menu. Several reports that were presented to the American Society of Nutrition found that eggs are good to help balance blood sugar levels and that mushrooms can help fight inflammation, which can reduce several diseases including heart disease risk. Dairy foods, such as yogurt and other fermented foods, reduce colon cancer risk. A handful of nuts, especially pecans, may help fight insulin resistance, which can help weight around your waist, and a diet high in fruits and vegetables may help fight Parkinson’s. You may also want to have a cup of coffee when you eat these healthy foods as nutrition researchers found it may be powerful at reducing the risk for liver disease.
