Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has done a weekly radio show on WCCO-AM for nearly eight years. The only time "Good Morning, Minnesota" was discontinued was when he was running for re-election. FCC regulations effectively prevent someone from using free radio air time when they are running for an office such as Governor or President. So it was a bit surprising that the Governor announced he was no longer going to do the radio show as of November 12th, a good six weeks before his term ends. The UpTake asked Governor Pawlenty why he was pulling the plug on the show early. Pawlenty's response: he wants the post-election focus to be on the Governor-elect.
