Class Day is a student-orchestrated event that celebrates the graduating class, its achievements, and its unique contributions to the UChicago community. Class Day serves as an intimate celebration for graduating seniors to reflect on their undergraduate experience and time in the College. The ceremony features student speakers representing the graduating class, student and faculty awards, student photo and video montages, and a keynote address from a prominent guest speaker.

Class Day takes place on the Friday before Convocation on the Main Quadrangle and serves as a kickoff for Convocation Weekend. Graduating seniors' families and guests are invited to attend. This year’s ceremony took place on June 8, 2018 and featured student speakers, Andrea Popova, Mark Meyer, and Priscilla Daboni; and invited guest speaker Valerie Jarrett, the longest-serving adviser to President Barack Obama and a distinguished senior fellow in the University of Chicago Law School.
