The Rottweiler breed, like the Schnauzer breed, has its origin in Germany as a grazing dog. In fact, it is one of the oldest breeds used for this purpose and it is believed that its oldest ancestors are the Roman grazing dogs.

Currently, the Rottweiler is used as a search dog, rescue, rescue, guide dog, guardian or police. In recent years it has been classified as a dangerous breed dog due to the multiple incidents, which have occurred in several countries, related to bites or attacks on people.
