Take a little driving tour of Sunset Plaza Drive in the Sunset Strip area of the Hollywood Hills.

Hi, everyone. It's Christophe Choo from Coldwell Banker previews in Beverly Hills. Taking a little ride of Sunset Plaza Drive in the Sunset Strip area west of the Hollywood Hills. So I just turned off of Sunset Blvd. So I'm north of Sunset on a street called Sunset Plaza Drive which is a probably the second tier, main area of the Hollywood Hills in the west. 

This particular house, the kind of white top you see there is currently on the market. I think it's 26 or 28 million. Currently one of the highest priced homes here on the Sunset Strip. Sunset Plaza Drive homes, this is lower Sunset Plaza, range from about $1.6, $1.8 million up to about $5, $7 million. 

Actually there are some a little bit higher than that as you go further up with the better views. It's kind of a wide range but still you know, kinda $1.6 - $1.8 million starting price point for an older home. Very popular location, as is all the Hollywood Hills. Because you are up in the hills, many of the homes have wonderful, beautiful views of the city depending on the position. 

You can get a downtown city view, get a jetliner view, a 180 degree view of downtown to the ocean or a west side view overlooking Century City, the ocean and the west side. So we just turned off of Rising Glen; that's a new house under construction. It's been under construction the last six or seven months now. There's a lot of new construction in the LA just continuously, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, it's just non-stop. 

This property was purchased a couple of years ago as a tear down. I think they paid $2.8 or $2.3 million at that time for that house. Amazing, amazing views and looks like they just finished completion of that house. So I don't know if it's coming on the market for sale or if it was a flip or if it was built for the owner. 

That house with the scaffolding sold a couple of years ago. If I remember correctly, around $2 million. Again, going under what looks like an almost major tear down renovation type of thing. Sunset Plaza Drive itself are primarily uphill slope or downhill slope houses. What that means is if you're on the downhill side, you're basically entry at street level, and the house is either on kazons or stilts. 

You might have a little bit of flat land and it goes down hill. Those typically have better views and in the left-side houses or depending on which way you're coming are typically up-slope lots. You enter in a street level and you have one or two floors going up versus the other side which is maybe one or two floors up and then perhaps one floor down. 

It's not uncommon to find 2, 3 even 4 story homes in this particular part of the Hollywood Hills. Since again everybody, this is very little land, so people want to really maximize the view and you know, be able to show that all way. A lot of older homes. There's a lot of houses built in the late 50's, the 60's, and then the new construction. 

So it's kind of a wide range. I mean obviously this home was probably built in the 60's maybe even the 70's. There's another home that's being remodelled right now. There's a lot of money in L.A. between Hollywood but in-between industries and wealthy people from all over the world that buy vacation homes, this house sold a while ago, I'm trying to remember the price. 

I think it was just over $4 million if I'm not mistaken. So, I'm going to preview a house here on a street called Viewsite. My house just sold there over $8.5 million and I'm looking at one that's like $2.5 million, so. I'm going to turn off the road here to Viewsite.
