I once overheard a man say this to a woman who asked him how many people were in his family. PS I'm not making fun of him; I think he gave a linguistically interesting answer. I think that different ways of thinking and speaking add to the diversity of language and thought, and we should acknowledge them rather than pity them or hush them up.
