Bounce Man is a rather unique and unusual type of Robot Master, starting with this eye design calling back to likes of Astro Man and Galaxy Man. He was even originally called Rubber Man in Japan.

Bounce Man was created in a collaboration between Rebound Rubber and Momo's Robot Farm to be a fitness instructor in Boing-Boing Park. He is quite friendly with both kids and adults of all kinds. Even after Dr. Wily reprogrammed him to for his evil schemes, Bounce Man still loves playing around in his gigantic bounce house, which is what his stage place in where you'll be bouncing around everywhere, and you'll sometimes have to fall from a great height in order to use trampolines to jump even higher.

As bouncy as Bounce Man is, this makes him VERY weak against the high-powered force of Impact Man's Pile Driver. You can also use this weapon against the otherwise invincible metal balloons that you'll encounter, and even use its forward thrust to reach tricky items.
----------

When you fight Bounce Man, hitting him with the Pile Driver makes him split into different ball pieces. They can all hurt you before he reforms.

Bounce Man was installed with the Speed Gear, that makes him bounce around much faster, but I manage to beat him before he could activate it.

Even after he's beaten, he doesn't seem to have any ill will towards Mega Man, but you still get his Bounce Ball as a prize. You can aim it in a 3-way shot up, down, or straight, and using it with the Power Gear turns it into a 6-way shot, with the extra 3 of that going behind Mega Man instead of in front.
