The Turtles scored just three UK chart hits (all of which made the Top 20) so it might surprise some English listeners to know that they released 26 singles during their career and 17 of them made the US Billboard Hot 100. "Grim Reaper of Love" is an example of this ... a 1966 single which made the lower end of the US chart. It was written by members of the band and features an electric sitar - making it one of the earliest examples of psychedelic "raga" rock.
