--Sorry for the shaky camera work! I don't have a steady hand alas-- I was lucky enough to go to a joint salon by the Geena Davis Institute on Gender Media & Feminist Frequency, hosted by google, this past Monday (July 10th), about Women in Gaming. The salon was talking to women in the industry, from behind the scenes to writing reviews, to being also fellow gamers, but it was all prefaced by the wonderful Geena Davis, herself. This was the first time her institute was in San Francisco, and I think it was a great topic to have for their first! I didn't quite get ALL of her speech, sadly, but here is in her own words, what motivated her to create the institute and push for more equal representation in Hollywood.
