Is gender inequality an old problem that's been solved by now? What should we do to be able to say for sure that we have overcome this issue? Nathan has written a poem to explore this. Nathan Hunter, 24 from the UK, is a Politics and Human Resources graduate who works as a trainer for the European Youth Parliament. Having performed in Armenia, Georgia, and France, he uses spoken word poetry to bring to light pressing gender and racial issues. Living in the 21st century we see sexism and gender discrimination as an evil of the past. Why do we need to focus on it any more? Aren't there greater battles to fight? In this Spoken word poem, Nathan will challenge us to rethink our perspectives on modern day sexism and patriarchy, and question whether we have in fact taken a step into the future or whether we have instead just changed our perspectives. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
