Our granddaughter's measurements being taken several hours after being born today. I like that she got to stay on Mommie's tummy, uninterrupted, skin to skin, just bonding for most of the night before the hospital staff did any of this stuff. They also waited quite awhile to take her to do the APGAR check. Besides Dad, no one else even get to hold her until about 6 to 8 hours later. Obviously I was dying to to get my hands on her but this way really is best. I think it is why she is so calm with others in all my hospital videos.
