The California OES Access and Functional Needs Chief discusses opportunities for survivors with access and functional needs to engage with FEMA. Transcript: Hi, My name is Vance Taylor. I'm the Chief of the Office of Access and Functional Needs here at the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services. Cal OES and FEMA, we're partnering together to ensure that all survivors from these historic wildfires are able to receive equal access to the great programs and services that our state and federal partners are providing for folks. Now if you're an individual with a disability or an access and functional need and you live in Butte, Lake, Mendocino, Nevada, Orange, Sonoma, or Yuba counties, then we're here to help. And if you need assistance with things like completing an application, ASL interpretation, language translation or getting materials in large print or braille, we want you to dial 916-361-0380. Or if you use TTY, dial 711. Now, who exactly is a survivor with a disability or an access or functional need? Well, that's anybody that has a disability. It's anybody who has a chronic illness or injury. It's anybody that doesn't speak English as their primary language or individuals who are transportation disadvantaged.
