This stage is really long and rather complicated. A bit too much for me to explain in text without going through a lot of unnecessary detail. It's basically one big puzzle area where you will have to make use of all your allies abilities to destroy the 4 generators and get the appropriate keys to advance, while using an elevator and switch mechanic to traverse the whole area. We do all this to open a single door back in the beginning and then take that to go through some sort of laboratory type area to reach Mitsunari and the Dark Stone. 50:35 - Mitsunari Ishida - Roberto is forced out of your party for this fight so he can wail on the stone in the background. Ohatsu is a good choice since she can fire from afar, but Jubei would be even better if you planned to use her Demon Eye to slow time and demolish Mitsunari that way. Up to you, but I went with Ohatsu because I'm a conservative motherfucker. Mitsunari's mechanics involve scattering poison flames all along the ground with his attacks. You can use the soul absorption mechanic to suck them up, or order an ally Soki to do so, and they will eventually vanish. You really don't want to leave too many of these out for a number of reasons. Firstly, you get poisoned upon touching them which as previously mention drains the hell out of your HP and only an Antidote will cure it. Secondly, they limit the ways you can travel and Mitsunari likes to fly across the arena much like Hideyoshi did. Finally, if Mitsunari gets to low HP and there's a ton of poison flames around the area, he will stop attacking to absorb them all and gain a huuuuge chunk of his HP back, which is all kinds of not what we want. His other attacks include dropping fire on you, launching fire from the corner of the room, turning invisible as his fan flies about the room to slice you up, and probably his most fearsome move is to send out a centipede and latch onto either Soki or your partner. If Mitsunari is not damaged quick enough, whoever he hit will go berserk and start attacking the other character you currently control. You can even lock on to your ally and attack them if you wanted, but that's highly inadvisable unless you want to waste the healing items to get them back up. I shouldn't have to tell you it's extremely bad to get hit by this when your ally is on the ground dead, so you really don't want to leave them down here. Mitsunari is sort of a tough fight, but I really enjoyed all the mechanics and unique way of fighting the bosses in this game have. I also like that they were designed to be an actual challenge, like every boss in the game feels like you were EXPECTED to lose to them. I miss that kind of challenge from games, you just don't get it nowadays.
