Choreographer Cristopher Villones Flauta is joined by dancers from Hong Kong Disneyland - Janesa Rae de Guzman, Dan Nikkoli Emmanuelle Soria, and Kimberly Anne Mendoza - to deliver a powerful performance that draws on the tormented relationship between life and humanity. The moving piece is set to a poetic narration from actor and vocalist Davon Williams and the song 'Read All About It' by Emeli Sandé. Cristopher Villones Flauta (Crease) is part of Disneyland Hong Kong’s entertainment team, where he is a chorus dancer for The Lion King, among other things. He teaches jazz and contemporary dance and choreographs for Disneyland’s annual cabaret showcase. Crease began with humble roots in the Philippines, learning ballet, jazz and contemporary dance at Leyte Dance Theatre. As lead dancer, Crease has showcased Filipino and other regional dances at shows in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and the U.S. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
