Tuesday November 1st is Melbourne Cup Day. This day is a public holiday in Melbourne and being a holiday quite a few amateurs had time to go portable and participate in the 160m 11:00am Coffee break net. Damian Vk3KQ and Jack VK3WWW rode bicycles to a lookout in Vermont South. Ralph VK3LL and Marshall VK3MRG also came along and assisted with the station.
