OK, indulge me here. Most of the videos I create are for Christian songs. But before I started listening almost exclusively to Christian music around the year 2000 I listened to country music. From 1974-2000. Well, not so much country music as country-tinged music. I floated around the boundaries of country, folk, bluegrass, and Americana. I didn't care much for the shallow, trashy country stuff on the radio. Artists like Emmylou Harris, Nanci Griffith, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Paul Overstreet, Alison Krauss, and Kate Wolf were more my style. And I also enjoyed more mainstream country artists like Patty Loveless, Pam Tillis, Reba McEntire. Anyway, the first time I heard Suzy Bogguss, in 1989, I was blown away. This was the first song of hers I heard. It's from her 1989 debut album "Somewhere Between", which I would say is a must-have album, but then she has a "Greatest Hits" album, and that's even a bigger must-have.

Well, yeah, I'm a guy. This is a song about the heartbreak of a woman. So why am I making a video for it? Can I relate? Well, actually, I can. So, I just went with my heart here.

Song was written by Verlon Thompson and Kye Fleming. Wish I could tell you who is singing the male backing vocals, but it's not clear. I'm guessing Mac McAnally. Or perhaps Harry Stinson. But don''t hold me to that.
