Tried two new places this weekend and almost caught several bass at the Verde River. While fishing Veterans Oasis Park I started at 5:45 am and started with a live target frog. After about an hour and no bites on the frog I tried the BlueGill paddle tail swim bait. Then after about an hour of using the swim bait and no bites I used a weightless zoom worm and yet again saw no bass whatsoever. Fishing at the Verde River I used a Texas Rigged Robo Worm in Aarons Pro Shad and Watermelon. I had more bites and saw more bass while using the Aarons Pro Shad color. I also tried the Zoom pumpkin colored curly tail but did not end up landing any.
