Roman Catholic Archbishop Jason Gordon says refugees around the world have been a challenge to territories like Germany, England, France and the United States of America. Speaking at a News Conference on Thursday, he said Trinidad and Tobago seems to have an American-styled reaction to the problem. Archbishop Gordon said he understands the concerns being expressed by citizens, but urged them to remember that Jesus, Mary and Joseph were refugees so Christians should attempt to treat every refugee like they would the Holy Family. On the other hand, he noted the importance of securing our borders. He said we should work to integrate refugees who are already here.
