A young man considers dropping out of university and receives an impromptu lesson in the game of snooker. This is the last episode in this series which was designed as a teaching aid to promote group discussion on the problems of the adult learning process in management - staff relations. The actual point of this film, which was directed by Peter Weir, is obscure to say the least and it is hard to see where it fits within the stated aim of the series. Weir's films for the Commonwealth Film Unit were often divergent from the usual, straighter story telling and message films produced by the Government and were representative of a time when the film units were starting to reflect upon a more complex Australian society. Weir directed all four episodes in the series and this is a suitably strange conclusion to a curious series. Made by The Commonwealth Film Unit 1972. Written by Stephen Wallace.
