At least ten families have been affected by a fire that gutted four homes in Sea Lots on Friday morning. While there were no reported injuries, fire officers attached to the Wrightson Road Fire Station were quickly able to contain the fire within an hour. Residents say the fire began when a child was playing with a lighter. They said a neighbour saw what the child was doing and flicked the item away. In October 2017, a fire broke out in the same area affecting at least 13 homes. The roof of Carlton Taylor's home was burnt off, but he is thankful to the fire officers.
