What are the requirements for the parent supporting a NSNP Non-Dependent Child of Nova Scotia Nominee applicant?

The parent of a Nova Scotia Nominee Program Non-Dependent Child of Nova Scotia Nominee applicant needs to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada who got that status after being a Nova Scotia nominee. The parent must have established a residence in the province within six months of obtaining Canadian permanent residency and remained a Nova Scotia resident. If the parent is a newly arrived immigrant, he or she needs to have been a resident of the province for at least three consecutive months before the non-dependent child submitted the application and needs to be still residing when the applicant arrives. The parent also needs to develop a short settlement plan, demonstrating what help will they provide to their non-dependent child, such as preparation to arrive, temporary accommodation, employment contacts, and other.
