A rather uncommon Panasonic LCD alarm clock with a light-scattering COS-LCD display from the mid-1970s. I picked up this alarm clock from a local flea market about six months ago for a couple US dollars. It works quite well considering its use of an early LCD technology not known for its longevity. It does occasionally require some "encouraging" to refresh properly. A resistor was added to limit the current to the LCD. Unfortunately, the camera didn't pick up the sound of the alarm properly- it sounds quite different, almost like that of an LCD watch.
