CareCo, the UK鈥檚 discount mobility specialists, has partnered with Watford FC through it鈥檚 Community Sports and Education Trust (Watford FC鈥檚 CSE Trust), and the Disability Recreation Unity Movement (D.R.U.M.) to change a pensioner鈥檚 life this Christmas.

Mel Goman, a 74 year old retired postman and lifelong Watford FC fan, received a much-needed mobility scooter on Wednesday 5th December at Vicarage Road, just in time for Christmas. Mel has MS and relies heavily on his wife/carer to be able to get around. Unfortunately, his wife has been diagnosed with Dementia and will soon no longer be able to provide Mel with the care he needs.

The CareCo Zoom mobility scooter was presented to Mel Gorman by Watford player, Adrian Mariappa at The Vic. Watford FC鈥檚 CSE Trust creates opportunities for disabled people through sport, by embedding a culture of inclusivity. This makes the Premier League team the ideal pairing with CareCo.
