As one of the deputy chairs for Germanys Social Democrats,Andrea Nahles was recently named to the campaign team for the partys chancellor candidate,Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

If the SPD does well in Germanys parliamentary elections in September,the former chair of the Jusos, the Social Democrats youth organization,has a strong chance to become a federal minister. Nahles could be considered one of the partys most influential younger leaders.
