Okinawa Marines train in Mount Fuji's shadow

On a recent chilly morning in the shadow of a snow-capped Mount Fuji, a battery of Okinawa-based Marines hauled 100-pound rounds of artillery munitions across their base camps on a range at Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji.

The task — along with other efforts assigned during an Artillery Relocation Training Program exercise late last month — aimed to simulate challenges the group might face during combat missions.
