Fed Chief Denies Plans to Nationalize Banks

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke returned to Capitol Hill Wednesday for a second day of hearings on the U.S. economy. The Fed Chief told lawmakers once again that economic recovery will depend on how quickly stability returns to the financial sector. He also reassured investors that the government has no intention of nationalizing U.S. banks.
