--Overall Comments--

It's great that it seems like each of the Cutie Mark Crusaders are getting their own individual episodes with their sister this season.  Scootaloo had her own episode earlier in the season with Rainbow Dash taking a major part, and here we have Apple Bloom butting heads and further bonding with her sister.  I think it's safe to assume that a Sweetie/Rarity episode is in our future!

This episode was kind of all over the place in terms of its tone--and I don't mean that in a bad way.  New writer Scott Sonneborn really brought a bit to the table.  What starts out as a fairly wacky, yet heartfelt episode about Applejack's overprotectiveness of her younger sister turned quickly into an all-out 5 minute action scene in the end!

The BGM followed along and had some fantastic moments as well--from the 5 minute Chimera Battle Suite, to the what can only be described as a short William Anderson parody of a Daniel Ingram song.


--Track Specific Comments--

"No time for a song!"  Definitely my favorite joke from the episode!  What appears to be another CMC song--even complete with the background shifting over to abstract colors, is suddenly cut off by Scootaloo as AJ approaches the door.  This is another hilarious 4th wall joke for this season.  Have to give props to William Anderson and his team for pretty much parodying a Daniel Ingram song here!
