A: When applying for the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program under the Business Impact category, the application process depends on the stream under which you're applying. The first three steps of the process are same for all of the streams; you are required to fill out a B-2 Business Impact Self-Assessment form to see if you meet the requirements and you'll need to score at least 50 points on the form. If you do score enough points, you need to prepare your application package and submit it to Immigration Services. If you meet the requirements of the category, you'll need to make a 5-day exploratory visit, during which you're supposed to learn about the province as well as attend an interview with Immigration Services. After the visit, you'll need to submit an official business plan and a settlement plan to Immigration Services, both of which need to be approved before proceeding to the next step. If you're applying under the 100% Ownership or Partial Ownership stream, the next step is executing the required agreements, including the escrow agreement, and applying to Citizenship and Immigration Canada upon receiving a letter of approval and further instructions. If you're applying under the Work Permit stream, after the approval of the business and settlement plans, you'll need to execute the performance agreement, after which you'll be issued a letter of support for your work permit application to the CIC. You have 60 days after the issuing of the letter to apply to the CIC for your work permit. When you arrive in Canada on your work permit, you'll need to meet the terms of the performance agreement in order to receive a letter of approval and apply to the CIC for permanent residence.
