Through hidden camera footage captured during unexpected conversations, a grandfather encapsulates the ups and downs of being a Sergeant in the Army Air Forces of World War II. The emotional reflections are captured in the face and persona of the subject being interviewed, with vintage photography enhances the narrative. DIRECTOR'S NOTES: Edited together from a spontaneous, and unexpected, conversation with my grandfather Morris Goldman via hidden cameras. Spurred by the mention of a Memorial Day celebration at his Florida condo clubhouse, my grandfather launched into one war memory after another—something I've unsuccessfully tried to capture with a formal video interview.
