 So I’m all sure you have heard the rather sad news that whales keep beaching themselves, or washing up dead off the coast of New Zealand, there have been over five incidents of whales beaching over the past week, a pod of 90 whales beached on the remote Chatham Islands with half found dead because they couldn’t escape. 

One whale was found is such a bad condition that rangers had to Euthanize him once on arrival, it was a decision that wasn't taken lightly but it was the most humane thing to do. So teams are now trying to figure out why there seems to be a massive whale beaching going on.
