Father Charged In Child Abuse Case

The father of a girl that is at the center of a child abuse case in Henderson County is now being charged.News 13 first told you about the investigation last month after the infant showed signs of serious injuries, and was taken from her parents and put in foster care.In December, the little girl was taken away from 21-year-old Tony Stepp and his wife after suspicious injuries were discovered along her arms and legs. There was also hemorrhaging behind her eyes. A doctor at Mission Hospital declared the injuries as non-accidental. Stepp and his wife Mikayla both denied any allegations of abuse. Now the warrants that have been drawn up, and are ready to be served for misdemeanor child abuse. At this point, there are no reports of charges being filed against the mother. News 13 is told Tony Stepp filed for a separation from his wife last week.
