Benitez riled by 'campaign' against Madrid

Real Madrid on Tuesday (29 December) got ready to face Real Sociedad in La Liga on Wednesday (30 December) with manager, Rafael Benitez, suggesting the club are being unfairly treated by the media.

"There is a campaign. A campaign against Florentino (Real President Florentino Perez), against Real Madrid, against the Real Madrid coach, consisting in criticising everything that can be criticised and changing, making up and manipulating everything that can not be criticised. That´s happening, it's obvious, and anyone experienced can see it. I've been abroad 11 years and all of a sudden there are people questioning the way I'm thinking. I think we all need to do our bit, starting by me, and I'm sure we will succeed more if we do. And then the evaluations should be done at the end."
