As they say, breaking up is the hardest thing to do. However, learning how to "break up" in Mandarin Chinese isn't as hard as you may think. There are two ways: Wǒ men fēnshǒu ba 我们分手吧 Let's break up Wǒmen 我们: means "we". fēnshǒu 分手: means "break up" ba (neutral tone) 吧: is used at the end of sentences to soften the message and ask for an agreement. It's a common particle in Mandarin Chinese. A "softer" way to break up is to use: 我们不合适 Wǒmen bù héshì We are not compatible/suitable Wǒmen 我们: means "we" bù 合: means "not héshì 合适: compatible or suitable It's as simple as that! ____________________________________________________________________________ We really hope you enjoyed this lesson and learned something new.
