A Ziploc bag of Lugol's iodine solution is placed into a beaker of starch water. The video shows 1 frame per 30 seconds for a total of 20 minutes. The iodine is able to diffuse throught the bag but not the starch nor the water (the bag acts as a selectively permeable membrane).
