This video was recorded for educational purposes for people, who is looking to buy a webcam for Skype or simular video broadcasting meeting software from a bestbuy,microcenter,walmart or target. They all will have some of those cameras on the shelfs so, I decided to share the experience with you, since I am testing those cameras for computability with my Moroz Video softwares anyway.

So, I will review the videos of next cameras: Logitech QuickCam Communicate MP Plus, Logitech QuickCam Communicate IM Plus, Logitech QuickCam Chat, and Microsoft Lifecam VX 3000.

The first think, I am a microsoft lover and hobby/ programer, did not like their product! VX 3000 is a terrible camera with manual focus, even if microsoft saying that this camera create the excellent quality videos - lie ;-). Camera has a bad mic build in with to much noise and manual focus ring is hard to adjust if you are wireless setup. Lifecam vx 3000 also comes with no extras like logitech. When microsoft software starts recording the video, it bring red and then green screen for one second, which is not going to be favorite thing some of us. I think, company like microsoft need to make focus controlled from the application itself, otherwise it is hard to adjust focus where you are not present, because when you are adjusting focus you come to it so close, and then you seat down ,and you out of focus again! Motion on their camera was okay, and nothing else positive on my taste. Microsoft VX 3000 is cost to much and I would not buy it.

MP is clear winner, but 49.99 is a little bit to much for that camera, it is dominating in class but still is not producing a sweet videos.(Auto focus) If your wallet is empty but you have some on camera and wanna the best grab Logitech IM Plus(manual easy adjustable focus - better then Microsoft VX3000) for 35.99(the mic was not the best, but has free headset as bonus as MP Plus has), otherwise Logitech MP Plus is dominating them all. Logitech QuickCam Chat is terrible quality camera, no mic build in, but has a free headphone set, that are hard to connect.
So the story is easy, wanna save around 10-14 bucks grab IM Plus and be happy, if not then grab MP Plus.

However, all those cameras, did not show the framerate and motion correctly. Cameras were to blurry and look like 10-15 fps with two source of lights: Room and 32 inch Monitor. If you need clear quality webcam stay away from all of those cameras. Check the videos part 2 and part 3 for the image quality, i will also compare it with JVC true HD 1080i camera in the same scenario. I could not rendered the video for better visual comparison, because Adobe After Effects did not like videos and leave some artifacts on them, so I decided to use just my software and leave it almost uncompressed(the way you will see the videos, the way they were on my monitor). I did two tests, test number one I recorded with Moroz Video Capture while playing it in Skype on 6000 kbp/s; and test number two I recorded using manufactory software that was in the box with camera.

Thank you so much for watching, keep in mind that this is first public AVCHD MTS HD Video file format test, that was analyzed in my software(Moroz Video Converter), trimmed, added titles, added second audio track and watermarked with support png transparency. All that means so big to me, cause my software now can open any 2009 HD camcoder videos and edit it as well as convert it into avi or other formats. Moroz Video Converter officially support HD AVCHD now! Soon will be available for public!
