Just as in many communities around the United States, southern Illinois has been hit hard with this economy.  The men and women in the Trades and many others have suffered through this difficult time.   Bob Vosburgh, Business Representative/Organizer for the St. Louis  Carpenters District Council, was interview on June 22, 2010 by Channel 3 news concerning an upcoming $893 million dollar Project, that will have positive economic impact  on fellow Illinoisans, as well as, people across the nation.   All of us know how bad this economy has been for a lot of people, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.  The economy is picking up and it appears that Trades people, business owners and job seekers can begin to look forward to better times in the near future--it's about time.
